frac·tal (frak'tal)

n. A geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. Fractals are used especially in computer modeling of irregular patterns and structures in nature. - American Heritage Dictionary

Fractals are complex, facinating and beautiful. There are aproximate fractals in nature but true fractals are computer generated. There are many programs that can be used to create fractals and they have become very popular with artists. So popular in fact, that we're revisting this theme which we first tackled as a group back in 2008. "Fractals 2011" is a showcase for the next generation of these digital works which have become increasingly popular here at EBSQ.

All fractal entries must be computer generated using a fractal program . All entries should be pure fractals with no post processing of any kind. An artist's statement is required. Please include in your statement how you created your entry and the fractal program you used.
