Art: Quilled Pink Lady's Slipper by Artist Sandra J. White
This is my Quilled Pink Lady's Slipper, an original artwork created by placing my rolls of paper beneath my cut out, simulating the veins in the leaves and the flowers. It is framed under glass in an 8"x10" honey oak frame, finished piece is 10"x12". This is one of my 'New Hampshire Wildflowers' collection, any of which can be combined for a dramatic focal piece on a wall.

The Pink Lady's Slipper is quite abundant in New Hampshire, although it is a protected flower. We find them in the early spring in the woods. I am told that the roots can live in the ground for years, and when the light is right again, they will bloom.
