I've always had a thing for water lilies and to me, there is just something about them that is just so fascinating. Using a mixture of soft pastel sticks and CarbOthello pastel pencils on Strathmore Velvet Gray Charcoal Paper, I originally created this piece as an understudy for a possible oil painting. This piece was the first of many water lily pastels that I created and got the chance to explore technique, the medium and the paper.
