Although abstract in essence, this piece was based around the idea of theoretical blood-filled veins of a tulip. Tulips often invoke happy, pleasant emotions. I wanted to absolve the tulip of this label for a moment and reveal the hidden, darker emotions that can sometimes be associated with this lovely flower.
