I couldn't think of any other name for my Rock Plant's Child. What you see is an actual birth, except that it is taking months for the baby to form and separate from mom. Mom, by the way, is the supporting structure one can still see, split in two, out of which Brainy is emerging. And, in order to show how Brainy made its way into the world, I have taken photographs that document the process at different stages. Here we can see, in reverse chronological order, three main points in time. Interesting as the whole thing is, the only question that keeps echoing in my mind is....with a look like that, how intelligent is Brainy? Is this plant what they refer to when they say "all that....and brains too!"?
