This piece is more about drawing than painting. I spent a long time putting in the detail in the ink drawing, the hairs on the stems and buds, the tiny lines on the bloom itself. I love to draw. I also like the way the thick paint adds to the dimension of the drawing. This original painting is done on 140lb acid free watercolor paper and is ready for framing.
