Just finished my last Black Cat Behind the Sunflower for the EBSQ SHOW. I hope you like it. ;) SEARCHING ABOUT THE MEDICINES FLOWERS, TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SHOW, LOOK THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION THAT I FOUND ABOUT THE SUNFLOWERS. Family Asteraceae Description Large, annual flower reaching heights of 1.8-3 meters (6-10ft). Leaves are alternate, heart-shaped, and bristly. Flowers are yellow to orange in color and composite with dark brown centers. Flowers present July through October. Location Found in prairies, open fields, roadsides, and planted as ornamental flower. Ranges from Minnesota to Texas, but has been known to grow wild elsewhere. Uses and Parts Used Flower Flower tea used for lung ailments and malaria. Leaves Leaf tea reduces high fevers and has astringent properties. Leaf poultice may be used on snakebites and insect bites. Leaves are also diuretic and expectorant, as are seeds. Used Artagain/Strathmore 60lbs. paper with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils/White Ink.
