This and other entries to the Cyclamen show are due to the urging of a friend who offered me the use of a few of her photos of cyclamen, because I had none. It is a collaborative effort, which, without the borrowed photos, would not have been achieved.

The original pink cyclamen was abstracted with the thought that since it was representing Israel in the Chinese Olympics, blue and white (the Israeli flag colors) would be appropriate and the Chinese symbols for "harmony and peace" would add to the photo.

This image evolved from flipping horizontally an original to which had been cloned a center to serve as the eye. The lower petal was removed and then the edges and entire image were touched up and blended with brushes in Photoshop.

Through manipulation, the illusion of a surreal face evolved.  We hope you enjoy the illusion as much as we enjoyed creating it.
