The heart is edged are fist copper taped, soildered followed by a patina that turns the soilder into an aged appearance. Flat wire was also patinaed to match the edging, curled with a round nose pliers and soidered into place. The surface is cleaned carefully then with a special acid to remove the residue before painting.
Special glass paints are layered, dried for 24 hrs. and then fired for 45 minutes to cure.
The bell actually has a little jingle to it. Its a copy of an oldfashioned one where they punched the center, added a barring and bent the opening closed again.
