This vision of a future city in ruins started out as a commissioned CD sleeve. The customer asked for something that would convey an abstract urban feeling, something like a city at night. The image wasn't chosen for the work eventually, so, after minor changes I made a new artwork out of it.
I created this piece entirely inside the Bryce software. The sky is a preset Sky and Fog setting that I slightly edited. The ground is a Ground Plane with one of my textures applied to it. The buildings are six cubes that got stretched alone the Y axis. I added some Symmetrical Latices to the top of four of the buildings and used them as a boolean subtraction tool to achieve the ruined buildings effect.
