Prospectus
Dance Macabre, or “dance of death” is an allegorical style of art dating back to the Middle Ages. Traditionally, compositions referenced how both the poor and rich alike would all eventually dance with death, the great equalizer.
We invite you to interpret this theme, perhaps referencing early medieval stylization or taking a more modern interpretation. All media are welcome. Be sure to include an artist statement with your entry, explaining any unique iconography within your work
