This triptych is intended to be a tribute to a dearly departed pet rooster who passed recently. The idea was to represent the "complexity" of Martha Chicken by using the various styles. Martha Chicken, who of course later revealed his true identity as a rooster, was thought of quite fondly - more of a family member rather than as a pet. The final panel celebrates his life in the style of El Dia de Los Muertos which I chose more on behalf of Martha's owner who has spent many years studying in South America and is a retired Spanish teacher.
