This is a candy i loved as a child,so yes they have been around a long time.i do remember calling them sugar drops though,I would pick out the red and white ones and eat those first,then the others.In fact,i think i ate about half a bag while i was painting this.I still like the red and white ones best. I wanted to paint something from my childhood,when candy was one of the most important things,and putting a handful of candies in your pocket meant the world,before all the reality thats comes with growing up. 8"x10" Acrylic,back stapled, stretched canvas,sides have been painted black.wire in back and is ready to hang. Also has a protective finish to protect from the elements.
