This month's word: Awakening
Unlike our traditional EBSQ exhibits which are very structured, the point of EBSQ "one word concepts" is to present you a word and leave it totally open to your interpretation. Take your word anywhere you like. Just make sure your finished work relates in some obvious way to this month's word.
There are no media restrictions. Any and all materials may be used to create your entry. An artist's statement is required with every entry. This statement should include information about your personal interpretation of this month's concept. Your statement is an important element in presenting your work online and helps make your work more accessible for the viewer. If texture or other small elements are pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged. Eligible entries must meet all points of the prospectus.
