This piece is a small drawing done from life when I was studying fine art in Columbus, Ohio. I think the interesting thing about this particular pose is that because her face is turned, it forces you to find other details to observe. Normally a person's face is the focal point of any figurative work, this way the focus has to come from somewhere else. In this case I tried to emphasize the lines and angles of the legs and the knees.
