My family spent many years moving from place to place around the western half of the country so I am no stranger to packing into the car and "hittin' the road" so to speak. Even though we moved nearly every year until I was 13, we always came back to the western half of Oregon that I have always considered "home".
I created "Pacifica" as a gift for my Grandmother which whom I have come to associate my family's many coastal trips with. I have imbedded some of the sea shells that I have collected and taken with me over the years in this painting.
Despite a life of instability, the coast has always been a source of great inspiration and constance for me. No matter where I live I will always consider coming back to it a homecoming and whenever I embark on a road trip, I hope my journey will take me back home.
