" Tea is the Party" is the first of two in a row Alice in Wonderland paintings. The other is Alice and the Caterpillar. That is a BIG Beautiful 20 X 22 Painting. It will be up by the end of the week. I wanted to get into the Alice in Wonderland Universe so I started at the Tea Party. The tea looks fantastic in this 14 X 11 gallery stretched canvas, as it's spilling everywhere. It's translucent and shiny. The cup is even beautifully detailed. The painting in general is bordering Surrealistic. With the oddly giant teacup and the over all demeanor of Alice it has a dream like feel. This Painting has a lot of detail in it. The fabric on the chair and the pattern on the tablecloth are almost psychedelic. It is a beautiful piece that has deep rich color, and lighting. It looks beautiful in real life the colors are amazing. The Mad Hatter is off to the side pouring Alice her 20th glass of tea. The look on her face says it all.... I'm sick of TEA. :)
