Alice looks a little bemused as she is invited to sit down at the table of the rather odd Mad Hatter and the March Hare. This piece is of course inspired by the Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking Glass books by Lewis Carroll. This is a bit older version of Alice than in the books, more of a young adolescent. It was painted in gradual watercolor glazes starting from light to dark.
