This piece is also a chessboard that parodies the theme of good vs. evil. The pawns (men and women) are both black and white, to represent that both men and women are sometimes evil. The kings are God and the Devil, with their queens being Jesus and the Grim Reaper. Each peace has it's own particular detail that would be relavent to that figure.
