This piece represents two poems by Poe, "The Raven" and "Lenore". The reason why I chose both of these poems by Poe is because death is something I have always worked on dealing with personally. I found in my own interpretation on both these poems that Poe was missing Lenore and could not accept her death. I used the pencil strokes on the image because I wanted to symbolize the illusions and confusions we as a human will at times put on ourselves when dealing with the understanding of death.

I created this piece using Bryce 5.5 and Daz Studio to create my base scene with male figure, background, and headstone. I edited in Ravens in Jasc PSP 8 as layers, edited color enhancement and contrast adjustment thru Jasc. I used AutoFX plugin filters for certain lightning aspects. Then lastly used a filter to create pencil strokes effects in Jasc PSP.
