This 12" x 16"painting was done on 140 lb. Arches Cold Press paper with Winsor and Newton watercolor paints. This is the third in a series of paintings I did based upon old black and white photographs that I had found.
It depicts young ladies in 1904 taking a nice leasurely stroll at Asbury Park, a popular turn-of-the-century beachside amusement park in New Jersey.
Asbury Park is now better known as the birthplace of singer Bruce Springsteen.
