What better symbol of liberty than the obvious, painted in oils on 1" gallery-wrapped canvas. My son had just graduated from college and moved to the Big Apple to seek fame and fortune when I painted this scene.He lived in Brooklyn with a great view of the city . Seeing the staue from his vantagepoint, made me feel that while he was being liberated from college and embarking on a new life in the big city, he was being watched over by Lady LIberty, who greeted and watched over so many of those who came before him,
