This is a painting of "Hope". It is symbolic of how a parents sin is reflected in her child. The eyes of the child are guarded by the crow. The eyes are the childs windows to the world. The tear on the mothers face is regret as she hopes to be forgiven and win back the soul of her child.

We all must grow

In cause and just

Come back to haunt

With devils thrust

The son she bore
