This piece was finished after a very bad week financially for everyone. It actually started as something very different, and then with a crash it all came down. When I view this piece I see the background as what we thought we had, nice and in order, and the red represents the reality of our system. Original paintings are wonderful conversation pieces. This piece is textured and was painted by me in my studio using acrylic paint and modeling paste for texture. The colors are subdued netural tones with a bold red ribbon of color, a great contemporary piece.
