Well, "Deconstructed" is a perfect description for this piece.
I poured some white paint on a tile, sprinkled a few ceiling sparkles on it, then I added a cheap, broken watch on one side (see detail 1), the buckle of an old, Liberace style belt, a few pearls from one of my earrings, a pin depicting celestial bodies (see detail 2), a gold pendant I had found on the street that looked like it had been run over by a car (see detail 3), and here it was: a veritable "Time Peace".
Afterwards, I looked at it and asked myself what could possibly have been going through my mind to do such a thing, but I didn't dwell on the question for too long. I figured I had had a long day and had felt rushed and pressured and stressed out. This was my way to put "Time" in its place, so it wouldn't think "it" could really be my master. The next morning I woke up to discover that my piece had turned "blue" during the night and this strange occurrence had given the whole thing a cool, marine flavor that underscored my point and pleased me quite a bit.
In conclusion, they don't get much more "Deconstructed" than this, and yet...the message is clear: Let's Do The Time Warp Again!
