This is from a mixed-media series where I juxtaposed Neolithic and other ancient and traditional depictions of men and women onto modern sites such as cubicle farms, malls, and so on. Mall Woman is based on a European neolithic goddess carving. The figures were drawn with Sakura Pigma Micron pens on paper, cut out, and collaged onto a photograph of a contemporary environment. They are meant to help the viewer question what has changed in the collective human psyche over the past many thousands of years, sometimes in a humorous manner.
