My airbrush paintings take weeks to create. Although they are really involved, I find the results rewarding.
I remember reading in the paper when they were building the Aswan Dam, thousands of ancient ruins were being submerged due to alternate flooding and they were advertising for underwater archeologists to help save some of these artifacts. Even Ramses temple was relocated with international assistance.
This is how I imagined a newly flooded region would look. Notice there are no fish in this one, only leftover plant life? I wanted to give the surreal impression of water where it's not supposed to be.
