This is Frida, Tracey's cat, painted for the 2010 pet portrait swap. It was fun to do....I used decoupaged butterflies as well as gold and copper leaf, gel medium, glass beads and even a few feathers for texture. Inspiration for the background came from Frida Kahlo's Still Life with Parrot, Viva la Vida (watermelons) and Frame (for the other painting behind this feline Frida!).
