- The Cat in the Hat
Dr. Seuss has always been one of my heroes, so when the Dr. Seuss show came up, how could I not do something for it? I have painted my own version of the Cat in the Hat, along with his associates Thing 1 and Thing 2. In this painting they're gearing up to wreak some havoc. The Cat in the Hat is an obvious choice for me, since cats & other animals in headgear are some of my favorite subjects to paint.
This painting was done in Oils on Masonite Panel. I chose this medium because it is what I am most comfortable with, and because I feel that it enables me to express my vision most accurately.
