Art: Sun Child & Moon Child FRAMED ORIGINAL by Artist Jasmine Ann Becket-Griffith

"Sun Child and Moon Child" FRAMED version!

I thought I'd post this too in case you weren't at Dragon*Con, this is what it looked like with its FRAME that Matty made!

44"x24" (I think?) Original Acrylic Painting on Wood - was FRAMED with a special Matt-made frame!

First we have - one of my favourites - "Sun Child and Moon Child!" I love the colours in this one. Loosely inspired by the song "Moonchild" by King Crimson - these sisters stand together, but separately - representing the sun (on your left) and the moon (on your right). The sky & sea are both shown here reflecting the day/night dichotomy. Sun Child is cradling a chalice holding the light of the sun, and Moon Child carries a vessel containing the crescent moon. A rooster represents day/morning, and the moon-bunny is for the night. This is a piece I debuted & SOLD at Dragon*Con 2011 - originally it was in a really neat diptych (two-paneled) altarpiece frame that my husband Matt made for me. I'll see if I can find a photo of it with her frame, I know I have one. Even though the original has sold though, I have prints & posters up now featuring these beauties!! Only $12.55 for the 11x17 prints, you can choose all different sizes up to 60" tall, different papers, framing options, etc. all available below - just use the options in your upper right hand corner there to choose your size.

You can see her below (with close-up details!):
