Who says there's no life on Mars? If you really believe that, then how do you eplain this scene? This is a portrait of Ellen McSmith, the Martian duck-girl and three of her Martian friends. They live on Mars as you can probably guess by the title of the painting and by the redness of the environment. They think Mars is pretty swell, and frankly they're glad that we Earthlings don't believe in them anyway.
