The wonderful little Hummingbird, caught in mid-air looking for it's next fill of sweet nectar from a Scarlet Trumpet Honeysuckle. This familiar scene from my garden was done in the traditional wax and dye technique of Pysanky on a large turkey egg shell. Etching techinique was used to create depth and enhance the design. Finished with an clear archival, industrial grade UV resistant gloss finish.
