Art: Raspberry Dream by Artist So Jeo LeBlond

This beautiful Pysanka was made in the traditional batik wax and dye process on a real blown blue duck egg, which is sealed with a coat of archival, industrial grade UV resistant, crystal clear finish. It measures approximately 2 3/8 inches tall.

The process begins by meticulously measuring and drawing out the design in pencil before it goes through a process of waxing and dyeing. Etching technique is used to create the raised borders and create a three dimensional effect.

This design features sweet florals in the most romantic shades of pale pinks and mauves set against a black background. "Raspberry Dreams" is the latest new design in the popular Florals series and the 4th original design that I have released to the public for 2010.

As with all my eggs, yours will come with a FREE lacquered, dark wooden stand and digital COA (Certificate of Authenticity) that allows you to register your piece in an online art database.
