This painting is a combination of watercolor and gouache. It is 9" X 12" and is painted on Arches 140 cold press paper. I think the idea probably surfaced as my mind drifted off to those wonderful summer days I used to spend at the beach as a child and also as a young mother with my husband and children. The days of filling the cooler with sandwiches, vegetables, fruit and treats and toting jugs of iced tea, punch and hot coffee are still fresh in my memory.
