It's a long drive from Nevada to Idaho. For hundreds of miles the only hint that civilization exists are the phone poles which follow the roadway. This picture was created early in the morning just as sunrise lighted the horizon. The actual location is difficult to ascertain, since it was somewhere within the 300 miles of nothing between Nevada and Idaho. I painted off my original photograph that won first prize in our state fair.
