- How Poe Sees Himself
Poe, at 5 months old, has been through a lot in his short life. Rescued from a bag beside a dumpster, he has been through 2 hernia repair surgeries, anemia, and a severely broken leg, and is soon to have more surgery. Despite the hardships, he faces life with gusto and I wanted to depict how I think this seemingly "ordinary" black cat with the white blaze on his chest sees himself, as a strong black panther. I firmly believe in the quote by the French writer Colette, "There are no ordinary cats".
