- After the Rains
This is one of my first watercolors. I find the media very challenging. The reference photo was taken a few days ago while riding my Quad in the hills in front of my desert home. We usually get 1 inch of rain but have alreay had over 6 inches this season. For the first time since living here everything is green. It is only February and our wild flowers are everywhere. We even have fields of California Poppies. I have never seem them in Arizona but they are here. The tiny purple mountains behind the Saguaro are across the Colorado River in California.
