"Carelessly abandoned, a 'derelict' boat rests on soft sand surrounded by beauty. The setting seems to magically light up the cast off hulk with joyful vibrations." Artist Comments: "This pastel painting began as a study in opposite colors. My original intent was to paint everything in complementary colors, then overlay the 'realistic' tones. I did the green shrubs but as I studied the artwork, I realized I really liked the whole opposite scheme, so I called it completed! It is pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes grey toned paper."
