Somewhere at the edge of the sea, a squawking gull notifies one and all of it's presence.
Artist comment: I chose to absract the background to render in soft pastel the setting for a common 'seagull'. Its pose and attitude convey its raucaus call. I chose shades of warm reds and purples to serve as a foil for the green shadow of the bird as the low sun casts the shadow on the ground.
