"Long, dark winter days are past. The 'spring breaks through' the greyness and lights up the sea in aqua and coral."
Artist comment: "I enjoy the contrast of opposite colors, here coral and aqua. Even the sky is tinted with aqua. And purple makes a good third tone. The composition is a 'C"' with diagonals meeting at the horizon. I began with this oil painting on canvas by sketching the composition, then painting the sky and water, varying the sky tones darker and greener. All the while thinking of Spring a familiar movie theme echoed in my mind -- hence the title -- with defernce to 'Dr. Zhivago'."
