Art: Skynasaurs by Artist Carol Thompson

"This progressive train of 'Skynasaurs' is flying low to the shining beach. the bright colors ripple in a moment of reflective brilliance as the kites zip by. Responsive, fast, and fun are words that best describe these exciting kites."

Artist comment:  "My husband and I are avid kite flyers.  Whenever possible we purchase new and different kites for our collection (and enjoyment).  These 'Skynasaurs' are in three graduating sizes and primary colors;  altogether a unique set of kites.  They are easy and fun to fly (and they buzz loudly when flown; a plus in my book).  So, it was a given that they should be photographed for painting.  The canvas is square, and with water, sand, and kites, the painting has good balance.  The subject is slightly off center giving them space into which to fly.  All the background is muted to set off the brightly colored kites and their reflection. With just a hint of 'flying lines', the Skynasaurs soar."
