"Raindrops like rainbow pearls have just ceased and the storm clouds separate to allow sunlight to shimmer on the surface of a calm, refreshed, and enduring sea. A lone rock stands as mute testimony to the beauty of the eternal ocean and sky."
Artist comment: "This is another in the series of rainbow colors in the clouds over the sea. Realistically, the occasion is rare when lighting conditions like this present themselves. However, as a constant observer of the ocean on the coast of the Pacific Northwest, I have learned that nature has its way of glorifying a common-place scene. Storm clouds part. The sun lights up the edges of the clouds with gold, pink, blue, lavendar, even rust and bronze. The moment is too fleeting to capture it with camera on film. My artist's eye reveals, as I remember it, this transient beauty in a stunning oil on stretched canvas and in limited edition prints."
