A group of pelicans preen while seagulls have a nap after lunch.Artist comment: This long narrow painting with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper was a challenge as well as a delight to do. I painted the blues and sand, then the green of the water. Using a combination of pastel sticks and pencils, I carefully articulated the birds. A few rocks on the beach and voila, a pelican panorama! |
