Art: The Savage [beast] by Artist Paula J. Nelson
The Savage [beast] - call name Abby [short for abnormal].

Abby was sculpted out of polymer clay about two years ago and sat on my television, dusty, ignored, but in his own way, patiently waiting for me to figure out what to do with him.

He was an unplanned emergence. The plan was to sculpt a Rottweiler doll head, but it didn't happen. Between my muse and his desire, he, a Pit Bull, was born. So he waited.

Cut to: January 2005 and I suddenly came up with an idea and he is now as you see him.

The colors are complimentary and/or related. The throat below the collar reflects in varied ways, the upper. Thinset concrete used as an adhesive with three colors of grout.

Vitreous glass, millefiore, stained glass, mirror, glass jewels.
