This piece was made with an 11" tall glass vase, which I painted with transparent Pebeo thermal hardening glass paints. Then I applied tempered glass using a clear silicone adhesive. I also applied handles from ceramic mugs which were painted to match the glass. The handles were applied with an epoxy resin. For grout I used white grout colored with a red/purple artist pigment.
This piece is currently being held for auction in September 2007 in benefit of PBS through the KVIE station in Sacramento, CA. Suggested retail $125
