Joseph's Coat Mirror (sold)

Art: Joseph's Coat Mirror (sold) by Artist Dorothy Edwards
This is titled Joseph's Coat, because I think of it as having every color. For the non-Christain's among us, it is a reference to the story of Joseph, whose father showed him favor and gave him a coat of many colors. The narrative of Joseph, his father and what his brothers did is in Genesis chapter of the Bible.

The substrate of this mirror is cut MDF with a routed keyhole hanger back. It was the first mirror substrate I purchased, instead of using a recycled substrate.

The tesserae on this piece consist of mirror glass, iridescent glass and stained glass. As I tell my Mosaic_California Yahoo group, "I like shiney things."

Like what you see? I love to make these and would enjoy working for you. Please email me or leave a voice mail messag for more information. 916-802-5238

This piece is currently for sale at: Phoenix Gallery & Framing, Phone/Fax: (916) 447-1632, 1729 L Street (at 18th and L), Sacramento, CA 95814. $300
