I began making this piece as a demonstration for a class given in Sacramento and it took on a life of its own. Many of my pieces are inspired by my Catholic faith. This one takes its name from when God spoke to Moses in the burning bush, an Old Testament book.
I drew a rough design on paper. The design was then copied in glue onto the glass vase. Working in sections, I applied the orange, yellow-orange, yellow, red and green-yellow stained glass using a silecone adhesive.
To keep the silecone from gumming up the surface of the glass tiles, I wiped the sections with qutips and rubbing alcohol every thirty minutes.
I really like how the light comes through this pieces so I decided to leave this piece ungrouted.
