This was an art card chasing that I did while I was exhibiting at the Stars and Stripes Arts Festival. This was done from life, the booth across the way from me. They liked it so much that they purchased it. Chasing is a process of inscribing lines in the surface of metal using chisels and punches. It is similar to engraving but does not remove any material. The line width and depth is controlled by the power of the strike and the angle of the tool.
