I've always been rather put-off by scarecrows...That's a bit of an understatement, actually. They scare the poo out of me, and I don't know why. Just so creepy, all flopping in the wind, with their lumpy bodies and soiled, tattered clothes...Ugh. This is a less horrifying rendition of one of my strange and uncalled-for fears..."The Last Straw".
This is an original scarecrow pin up illustration, created in acrylic paints, archival inks, and colored pencils on bristol (7" x 10.25"). She is initialed on the front; full signature, title, and date are on the back. Watermark does not appear on the actual illustration.
