This Archangel stained glass panel is truly breathtaking in person! It features 63 gorgeous heavy beveled pieces and a dramatic array of textures and colors that make prismatic displays in the sun. The painstakingly crafted cobalt blue and gold border dramatically contrasts with and highlights the sparkling clears of the halo and wings and palest blue swirled glass of the background.
The figure was hand painted and airbrushed with low-fire enamels. It was composed and painted in the Rennaisance tradition of paintings featuring the Archangel Michael fighting demons.
This piece was crafted in the traditional lead came method, (as opposed to the copper foil or "Tiffany" method). This technique, where each piece of glass is hand cut, ground, leaded, soldered, puttied and finished has remained virtually unchanged from the Middle Ages. Leaded and puttied panels are wind and weather proof, and make a stunning window treatments, room dividers or wall art. This piece comes in an easily removed golden oak frame, ready to hang.
I am offering this piece on eBay at a sacrificial price! The materials cost of the bevels alone would be over $400. The retail value of this piece is over $1000, but unfortunately, I must raise immediate funds to replace a broken down boiler. My loss is your gain, so if you are looking for a truly inspirational gift or a feature piece for your own home, take advantage of this opportunity now!
